My Life in Art

About me
I have always had a passion for drawing, making marks, creating new things, designing and getting messy. I always remember my mum saying I had a set of drawers the same size as me and was full of drawing pens, pencils and sketchbooks which I never left alone, always the first thing I would use when I got home from school and weekends. When I left school, I worked in childcare as I wanted to do all the crafts and drawing with the children, but after a couple of years found it wasn’t for me as I needed to progress and push myself with my own creativity rather than helping other produce theirs.
I need to get what is in me out so to speak and in any medium and is on the access to higher education diploma course has introduced me to new media and techniques, which really turned me up to discover more, experiment with all the different ways of expressing my thoughts, ideas and feelings. When I start to work, I can’t stop.
It is although something is driving me from inside, the result of my sessions so far has only been the beginning of my journey. I struggle sometimes with writing words or expressing myself through this, but I never had a problem expressing myself creatively.
